Donald Kahn hosted a cocktail party in London

The magnificent Austrian embassy in London provided the setting at the end of November for the presentation of the Salzburg Festival programme for 2004 in Great Britain. Several patrons and journalists accepted the invitation of the new president of the Salzburg Festival Trust in London, Donald Kahn, and of festival president Helga Rabl-Stadler.
Rabl-Stadler presented the programme of this year’s Salzburg Festival. The musical interludes were performed by a young artist from Salzburg: violinist David Frühwirth played works by Erich Wolfgang Korngold. Frühwirth makes his debut on 1 August at the Salzburg Festival performing works by Hans Gál, Ernst Krenek, William Walton and Korngold. Photos: Susan Greenhill
